**What Francehopital does.** FH covers the whole logistics process inside a healthcare facility: reception of materials at the facility, internal storage, distribution to wards and units, distribution and administration at the point of care or point of use, and collection of waste and dirty linen. Alongside catalogue products, FH provides customisation: specific trolley configurations, planning and design of complete logistics rooms, and consulting on logistics issues and workflows. In the company's words, this frequently results in "almost tailor-made" solutions. Product development is driven by continuous feedback from physicians, nurses and technicians who use the equipment.

**History and ownership.** Francehopital is the story of three generations of the Peroni family. Julius Peroni founded a small trading company after the Second World War to support his family, and entered the hospital fittings market. His son Günther took over at a young age and reversed the entrepreneurial perspective, exploring international markets in order to offer targeted solutions for hospital logistics problems rather than looking for markets for existing products. In 2005 the third generation, Gunnar Peroni, took the helm and is the current President. Milestones: 1948 hospital kitchen equipment; 1964 new laundry-handling system; 1972 kitchen equipment, washing machines and distribution of shelving and carts; 1980 PERSOCAR and PERSOFARM; 1983 PERSOLIFE; 1990 custom-made stainless steel furniture for clean rooms; 1997 first ISO 9001 certificate and WALLY; 1998 ISEO and PERMODUL; 1999 CLIPPER; 2007 EVOLIGHT and COLORLIGHT; 2008 ERGODOC and SHANGO; 2012 OP-LINE and PRECISO; 2015 PERSOCAR and PERSOLIFE redesigned; 2017 export reaches more than 80 countries; 2019 new corporate image, logo and website; 2020 global launch of eWork Carts and revamping of CRUSHY.

**Languages.** The website is trilingual. English is the primary language and serves as x-default, at the root path. Italian pages are under /it/ and French pages under /fr/. French coverage is partial: several pages and product-feature categories exist only in English and Italian. **Points that are commonly misunderstood.** Francehopital is not a hospital, a clinic or a healthcare provider: it is a manufacturer of equipment used inside healthcare facilities. Despite the French name and the French legal form (SAS), the export and main operations headquarters is in Lana, South Tyrol, Italy, with a second headquarters in Erstein, Alsace, France; the company describes its position as being culturally and geographically between the two. FH does not sell to consumers and publishes no prices: purchases go through direct contact or the distributor network. The product configurator is hosted on a separate domain, https://www.preciso-enjoy.it/experience.html, and is not part of francehopital.com.
