The NeMO Clinical Centre (NEuroMuscular Omnicentre) was established in 2008 in Milan. It provides assistance to people affected by ALS, SMA and muscular dystrophy, putting in place a personalised rehabilitation plan for each patient to ensure the best possible quality of life for each one.
NeMO is not only involved in treatment but also in research into neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases.
Over time, the NeMO sites have grown: there are now NeMO centres also in Arenzano (2010), Rome (2015), Messina (2013), Naples (2020) and Brescia (2020).
This complicated 2021 will see the opening of the Trento branch. It will be located at the Villa Rosa Rehabilitation Hospital in Pergine Valsugana, and the inauguration press conference on 24 February 2021 will be broadcast live on the institutional channels of the promoting bodies. As already happened for the NeMO Centre in Brescia and Milan, FH is proud to appear with its logo on a plaque on the entrance wall of the centre, which gathers all the friends who have made this great achievement possible: this is the so-called “wall-of-fame”.
The image below shows the “wall-of-fame” of the NeMO Centre Gussago, Brescia.
